A good example is leadership in sports. Brazil's national male volleyball team has a natural leader as a coach. Brazilians call him "Bernardinho" as a nickname. He is famous because he won everything with his players and he is still winning with another generation.
He's got a famous saying: "the distance between dream and accomplishment is called discipline".
I believe that in order to motivate your team, it is necessary to stimulate them to work hard. There is no leader who accomplish his goals without had working.
Leaders truly are everywhere! My own opinion when it comes to sports is that there always has to be a leader or else the team doesn't have any single direction or goal to be motivated towards - besides winning. The thing that I have issue with is when leaders think their word is more important than someone else in the group. Sure they may be a leader, but leaders are only powerful if they have someone to lead. Sports leaders, or any leader have to consider the words of the masses in order to truly be a good model of excellence.
